UNIQUE WINE TOUCHED BY HEALING HERBS AND WILDFLOWERS

Terra Makedonika is premium quality dry red wine from Vranec variety whose taste we’ve been searching for over 15 years. The Vranec variety gives the intense burgundy color, rich and deep flavor of ripe dark fruits and spices, but its depth and complexity comes not only from the carefully chosen grapes. The uniqueness of Terra Makedonika lies in the touch of the wine with the healing herbs and the wildflowers that grow in this region.

OUR STORY

Inspired by nature, driven by passion to create a different wine, relying on the experience and the best of technology, we created the wine Terra Makedonika.

Through innovative process and unique recipe, we made wine that captures the precious wildflowers and herbs essentials and preserves its beneficial powers. We managed to overcome the technological challenges and to awaken the life-giving force of the Macedonian terroir, while preserving the authentic taste of the Vranec variety.

REGION

Ovche Pole is an important wine region in Macedonia – the country where the vineyards that produce the Terra Makedonika wine are spreading. It’s considered environmentally the cleanest region in Macedonia. In this exceptionally convenient region many varieties grow, including Vranec, the variety that Terra Makedonika is produced of.

HUMIDITY: moderate

ALTITUDE: 330-560 meters

TERRAIN: hilly with gentle slopes

SOIL: salty with a touch of sandy soil

VARIETIES: Vranec , Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot, Kratosija , Plavac , Pinot Noir, Chardonnay Kavadarka , Smederevka , Riesling , Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Zilavka.

We believe that only by embracing the heritage of the region and the traditions of people living there, you can create authentic wine containing the full essence of its region of origin.

Ovche Pole has centuries-old tradition of wine production and the remains of an ancient winery near our vineyards confirm this. Relying on the knowledge that our ancestors transferred to the generations before us, but driven by innovative spirit and leading technology, in a short time we managed to grow into one of the best wineries. Тhe “Austrian wine knights” organization placed Ezimit as the 4th most modern vinery in South East Europe.
